Art Together is four-week-long art class that meets once a week on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm. Art Together is designed for kids ages 5 and up and their grown-ups.
July 11th - August 1st: Printmaking
Dive into printmaking as you learn all about techniques, materials, and process! Explore various types of printmaking, including monoprint, relief, and collagraph. Both adult and child participants in this four-week long course will create a series of prints that utilize various techniques and materials while exploring foundational art concepts like composition, pattern, and color. Participants will draw inspiration from past and present printmakers while developing a sense of self expression through artmaking.
WEEK 1: Foam Printing: Learn about this relief printing method as you make multiple colorful prints inspired by the shapes and patterns of flowers.
WEEK 2: Monoprinting: Learn about this process-based printing method as you create a print of an animal in its habitat.
WEEK 3: Collagraph Printing: Use cardboard and other materials to create a textured, colorful self-portrait print.
WEEK 4: Linocut: Learn about this relief printing method as you make a stamp to print a summer-inspired pattern on a tote bag.
